Η κύρια ερευνητική δράση μου εντοπίζεται στην νευρο-ογκολογία , ειδικότερα στο μοριακό υπόβαθρο και στην ανοσοθεραπεία των όγκων εγκεφάλου. Στα πλαίσια των πειραματικών μου δραστηριοτήτων διατηρώ ενεργές συνεργασίες κυρίως με τα εργαστήρια των πανεπιστημιακών κλινικών Bonn, Münster, Bielefeld, Düsseldorf, Bochum.

Ως αναγνώριση της πλούσιας πειραματικής και κλινικής ερευνητικής μου δράσης είμαι πλέον αναγνωρισμένος κριτής ώστε να  παραδίδω στην Γερμανία το Certificate of Good Clinical Practice, που είναι απαραίτητο σε ιατρούς που θέλουν να συμμετάσχουν σε κλινικές μελέτες, όπως και συχνά προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής σε διεθνή συνέδρια για να παρουσιάζονται τα αποτελέσματα των μελετών της ερευνητικής ομάδας μας. Οι δημοσιεύσεις της ομάδας μας έχουν συγκεντρώσει πάνω από 3000 αναφορές με h index 21.

Στην πορεία μου ως ακαδημαϊκός Νευροχειρουργός είχα την τιμή να μου δοθούν Ακαδημαϊκές Θέσεις Καθηγητή στην Νευροχειρουργική 4 διαφορετικών Πανεπιστημίων, του Πανεπιστημίου της Βόννης και του Μούνστερ Γερμανίας, του Πανεπιστημίου της Λευκωσίας και του Ευρωπαϊκού Πανεπιστημίου της Κύπρου.  Έχω την χαρά να διδάσκω ή να έχω διδάξει φοιτητές Ιατρικής στα παραπάνω τέσσερα Πανεπιστήμια , όπως και στα Πανεπιστήμια του Μπόχουμ και του Μάρμπουργκ Γερμανίας, στα οποία υπηρέτησα ως Αναπληρωτής Διευθυντής και Διευθύνων Χειρουργικής Νευροογκολογίας των Πανεπιστημιακών Κλινικών.

Πέρα από την απλή διδασκαλία στα αμφιθέατρα των Πανεπιστημίων συνεργάζομαι εντατικά με τους φοιτητές μου για την εκπόνηση διδακτορικών διατριβών καθώς και κλινικών μελετών και δημοσιεύσεων
